Tobs End Cole's Streak Thursday, May 26th, 2044 The Windy City Blues lost to the Carolina Tobs 1-0 today at Jistic Field, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Reid Cole's 20-game hitting streak. The right fielder went 0-for-3 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Cole, we would win the game," Tobs manager Dave Young explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." For the year Cole has hit .339 with 13 home runs, 34 RBIs and scored 36 runs. |
