Import League Selects Best Performer Monday, May 23rd, 2044 23-year-old Chaz Welliver sent shock waves through Brewers League Baseball last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Import League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Welliver made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .536 average, 15 hits in 28 at-bats, 4 home runs and 7 RBI. Where the California Kodiaks first baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Welliver certainly made his mark last week. Currently Welliver is batting .315 with 12 home runs, 34 RBIs and 29 runs scored. |
