Sanchez Sets New Single-Season Hit Record
Saturday, February 15th, 2042
Baseball has a new all-time single-season hit leader. In a game at Tianjin Memorial Grounds Chet Sanchez broke the record set previously by Archie Thorington. The crowd went wild when he banged out hit number 30. Asked by reporters, if it was tough to break the record, Sanchez replied, "Yeah, getting hits is tough, but there's no pressure build-up. I figured I would get this hit. This wasn't pressure. Pressure is the playoffs. Breaking this record was just fun... just another day at the ballpark."

Chet Sanchez singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd and singled in the 3rd.

A look at his current stats shows Sanchez with a .405 average, 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has played in 17 games.
