Shorebirds Advance to League Championship
With a 3-0 victory at Spokane Fields, the Myrtle Beach Shorebirds have completed a sweep of the Bloomington Cardinals in the Divisional Series.

"On to the League Championship and feeling good," said Devin Smyers. "I don't think our guys expected a sweep, but we'll certainly take it and rest up a bit."

For the series, Smyers hit .625 and won series MVP honors. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 2 runs.

The League Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
