Even as a kid, Cameron Dow said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Golden Eagles Ballpark today, Dow showed how well he learned that lesson.

The 18-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Oregon Ducks, helping his team knock off the North Carolina Tarheels by a score of 10-5.

"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today."

Cameron Dow hit a solo-shot off Kyle Nicholson in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and singled in the 6th.

In the current season, Dow has put up a .290 batting average with 38 hits, 5 home runs, 20 runs batted in and scored 18 runs.
