Walker Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Jason Walker was at the head of a Duke hit parade today at Ballpark of Columbus College. The catcher went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Blue Devils to a 12-9 victory over the Pacific Tigers.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Walker told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Tigers skipper David Wiegand said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Jason Walker singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.

For the year Walker is batting .422 with no home runs, 7 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
