Pilots Win at New Orleans, 3-1
|
Henry Byrd Field was the site of a tense game between the New Orleans Voodoo and Seattle Pilots.
Seattle Pilots pitcher Joel Greer was in fine form, leading his team past the New Orleans Voodoo, 3-1. R.J. Gabriele, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.
Ryan Carr, the 23-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Carr contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Seattle up, 1-0.
"I just made my pitches," said Greer, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
The Pilots, now 8-2, have had a terrific start to the season.
