Flores Ousted as Manager; Barranquilla Begins Search Sunday, January 25th , 2009 Ramiro Flores has managed his last game with the Barranquilla Caimanes. Flores met with team officials yesterday and his termination was officially announced today in a prepared statement from club general manager Joe Unknown. "Ramiro Flores has done an admirable job here, but I think it's time to go in another direction," the statement read. "At the end of the day, we just aren't getting the results we want with Ramiro and at this point we're willing to try to turn things around with a new manager." A replacement has yet to be named, but a decision is expected to come forward shortly. Team owner The owner of the Barranquilla Caimanes told BNN that the team had only been contemplating a managerial shift in the past week. Flores left the clubhouse quietly upon learning the news and refused to comment when pressed by reporters. |
