Casey Honored by Gulf Coast League Monday, August 10th , 2009 Alastair Casey is respected by most GCL Tigers fans for his no-frills style of play. The 21-year-old center fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Gulf Coast League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .571 average (16-for-28) with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Casey is swinging at a .306 pace on the year with 8 home runs, 37 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has played in 45 games. |
