Angels Won't Get Playoff Berth Wednesday, August 24th , 2011 The Provo Angels have a new opponent: mathematics. The Angels still have games to play in their disappointing 2011 campaign, but the numbers say they won't mean much -- the Angels were today mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. The Angels have missed the playoffs 18 times in their 20 years as a Northwest League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2006. In the last 10 seasons, the Angels have missed the playoffs 8 times. Provo has won the Round 1 2 times in their history. |
