Wednesday, July 4th , 2012
6 times is the charm -- at least for Starlin Rodriguez.
The Brooklyn Cyclones second baseman tore up the Norwich Sea Unicorns to the tune of 6 hits in 7 at-bats at Maimonides Park. The offensive onslaught from Rodriguez powered the 6-5 Cyclones win.
"Rodriguez was a tough out," Norwich manager Erik Latta said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Starlin Rodriguez hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 9th, doubled in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
In 9 games Rodriguez is hitting .302 this season with 13 hits, 1 home run, 7 RBIs, 2 walks, .326 OBP and has scored 5 runs.
