Dragons Out of Playoff Race Friday, September 21st , 2012 Ryan Maloney, the manager of the Dayton Dragons, said his players are "devastated" to have missed the playoffs. Today it became official -- the club has run out of games and was mathematically eliminated from qualifying. Before this season, the Dragons last missed the playoffs in 2010. In the 21 years they have been a Midwest League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 16 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Dragons have missed the playoffs 7 times. Dayton last won the Round 1 in 2007. |
