Gonzalez Sizzles -- Smokes Swing for 5 Hits Monday, September 3rd , 2012 It was a great day at the plate for Alejandro Gonzalez. For his West Michigan Whitecaps, the day was not nearly as good. The right fielder collected 5 hits in 6 tries, but his club still came up short in the win column. The Quad Cities Swing snatched the victory, topping the Whitecaps by a score of 9-7. "Well that wasn't how it was supposed to end," Gonzalez said later. "I'll just have to do it again and get it right." Alejandro Gonzalez singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
