Becerra Clips Bees for Cycle Saturday, July 7th , 2012 Alfredo Becerra of the West Michigan Whitecaps helped his club in a big way, hitting for the cycle in their 12-3 win against the Burlington Bees. The 4 hits, 8 runs batted in and 4 runs scored for Becerra led the way for the Whitecaps. "It was just a perfect day at the ballpark," Becerra said later. Alfredo Becerra singled in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a three-run triple in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th. So far this season, Becerra is batting .311 with 2 home runs, 30 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 148 at-bats, 16 walks and a .387 OBP. Becerra has played in 37 games. View Boxscore |
