Brown Top Hitter in SAL in August Tuesday, September 1st , 2009 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 21 Tony Brown has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Macon Braves star can enjoy the numbers he put up in August, which have garnered him the nod as the South Atlantic League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .273 average with 11 home runs, 24 RBIs and 20 runs scored. For the season Brown is hitting .233, batted in 49 runs with 24 home runs and 41 runs scored. |
