Morgan Slams 3 Deep for Delmarva Thursday, July 23rd , 2009 Kyle Morgan showed off his power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Macon Braves and sparked the Shorebirds to a 7-0 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium." For the day, Morgan collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Delmarva skipper Yabanne DeLeon said. "Kyle really put on a show." Kyle Morgan hit a two-run home run off Franklin Ortega in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Michael Davitt in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Michael Davitt in the 7th. For the season Morgan is hitting .264, batted in 51 runs with 27 home runs and 49 runs scored. |
