Orioles Score Late to Upend Rays, 7-3
|
The Baltimore Orioles knocked off the Tampa Bay Rays by the score of 7-3. Nate Mobley provided some pop, going 2-for-5 with 1 home run. Mike Cox earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 7-3. The Orioles raised their record to 51-45.
Mobley had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 sinker from Andinson Truesdale, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Orioles a 7-3 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Mobley.
"No time for flexing," said Mobley. "It's always one game at a time."
