Colonels Castro Suspended 4 Games Wednesday, April 22nd , 1981 As a result of his tirade and temper tantrum during yesterday's Colonels-Kings game at Colonels Park, Charlotte center fielder Santiago Castro will get some time off. He was issued a 4-game suspension by the league commissioner. Castro was suspended for verbally abusing and physically bumping the home plate umpire after being ejected for arguing over a third strike. So far this year Castro is batting .214 with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
