Johnson Socks It to Peacocks, Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, August 21st , 2019 Evinston Thunder Bears right fielder Steve Johnson went ballistic today with the bat. He hammered the Durand Peacocks for 5 hits and drove Evinston to a 11-7 win over Durand at Peacocks Park. Steve Johnson singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off Edwin Servin in the 10th. So far this season Johnson is batting .323 with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 20 hits in 62 at-bats, 7 walks and a .386 OBP. Johnson has played in 19 games. |
