William Babcock Wallops 3 Homers for Acorns

Blackburn Acorns catcher William Babcock left the Evinston pitching staff in ruins at Thunder Bears Grounds today, beating the Thunder Bears 12-1 with a prodigious three-home run performance.
"The last one was totally unexpected," Babcock told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three."
For the game, the Blackburn catcher had 3 hits in 3 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 4 runs.
William Babcock hit a solo-shot off Jordan Brown in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Bryan Nielsen in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jesse Morrow in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
On the season, Babcock is batting .259 with 7 home runs and 21 RBIs. He has played in 24 games.
