Bearcats Heading to League Championship Series Wednesday, September 14th , 2022 It's a sweet sweep for the Spring Valley Bearcats and they have won the Division Series. The Jesuit Bend Cadets were not able to keep pace with the Bearcats and dropped the series in short order, losing, 7-4, in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Jesuit Bend manager . It's now on to the League Championship Series for Spring Valley after their 3-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was left fielder Nathan Lomond, who was named MVP. For the series, Lomond hit .385 with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 12 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Spring Valley Bearcats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Akron Prairie Thunder - Freedom Kings series. Freedom leads the series 2 games to 0. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
