Silverbacks Move on to World Series Monday, October 10th , 2022 The League Championship Series didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game. But the DeCordova Silverbacks are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Volcanoville Raging Bulls 4-2 to advance to the World Series. "It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Silverbacks first baseman Jon Haas. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire." DeCordova won the final game by a score of 10-5 at DeCordova Stadium. Haas was named series MVP after hitting .350 with a .480 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 4 runs. The DeCordova Silverbacks don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Mobile Monarchs - Arlington Seals series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes. |
