Horsemen Swap Geidel to Polecats for Ousley Saturday, January 21st , 2023 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Horsemen announced today the acquisition of 18-year old minor league RF Joe Ousley and 19-year old minor league LF Jose Mazariegos from the Long Beach Polecats in exchange for 26-year old RHP Phil Lollis, 23-year old LHP Vince Geidel, and $1,200,000 in cash. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Horsemen, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." His career stats show that Geidel has racked up 7 victories and 14 defeats and has recorded an ERA of 4.97. He also has fanned 168 batters in 193.2 innings and allowed 193 hits. |
