Texas wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Kanakadatta Manandhar, falling to the Brownsville Cannoneers, 2-1. Manandhar threw 7.2 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Greg Ice notched his 12th save of the season. Brownsville currently is in third place in the National League NL Central at 28-32.
Third Baseman Adam Pagnucco made an impact for Brownsville, when he swatted a solo home run off Kanakadatta Manandhar in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Pagnucco went 1 for 3 with a home run.
"We busted our tails," said Texas manager Bobby Cox. "But we came up short."
