Gold Miners Get Past San Diego, 4-3
|
The Portland Gold Miners locked up a win at Smokiesdome, knocking off the San Diego Stunnas, 4-3. On the mound for Portland was left-hander Jason Foley. He played a major role in the triumph. Portland reliever Jason Foley got the win, raising his record to 4-3. Elliott Eberhard was tagged with the loss. The Gold Miners, at 24-27, sit in third place in the American League AL West.
Jon Neal, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2018 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Neal contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Portland up, 4-3.
