Fans watched the Austin Wreckers and the Texas Jets fight to the finish.
The Austin Wreckers eked out a 3-2 win versus the Texas Jets at Austin Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Eric Edge. He was terrific. Dave Hernandez recorded his 13th save for Austin.
An inflection point occurred with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Wreckers catcher Mike Garst hit a fastball from Jonathan Moffitt for a 2-run single. Just like that, Austin was up, 3-2.
"Eric was throwing strikes, locating well," said Austin manager .
The win elevated the Wreckers to 26-25.
