The home crowd had a good time watching the Phoenix Coal Miners and Texas Jets get after it.

The Texas Jets defeated the Phoenix Coal Miners, 5-0, in National League action at Saints Park. Texas pitcher Elijah Alston had a standout performance. The triumph puts Texas at 26-18 for the season.

Alston, a native of Florissant, Missouri, was dealing all game. He kept Phoenix hitters off-balance, while giving the Jets 6 quality innings. Alston threw 78 pitches, allowing 1 hit and striking out 8.
