Honu Win Nail-Biter
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the New Orleans Honu and Huntington Beach Hecklers.
In a low-scoring clash between New Orleans and Huntington Beach, pitcher Michael Fuller was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 win. New Orleans reliever Brad Jones was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Josh Sanders.
New Orleans won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Josh Sanders on the mound for Huntington Beach, center fielder Marcel Pazzi hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Honu fans to their feet.
"This place was rockin'," said Fuller.
New Orleans, with the win, climbs to 12-29.
