The Huntington Beach Hecklers picked up a win at Islanders Field, downing the Detroit Swordfish, 1-0. On the mound for Huntington Beach was right-hander Edgar Ayala, who played a pivotal role in the win. Huntington Beach reliever Jimmy Rainey picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Elijah Hurst absorbed the loss. The Swordfish fall to 13-18 and continue to sputter in the early going.

The Hecklers got a clutch hit from second baseman Shoh Takeda. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Hecklers.

In postgame comments, Takeda said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
