Detroit left fielder Luis Aguilar had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Aguilar was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs, even as Massachusetts beat the Swordfish, 5-3. The Swordfish drop to 11-12 and continue their mediocre start to the 2021 season.

B.J. Brown aided the Massachusetts cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Brown told a Massachusetts Herald reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
