The Idaho Potatoes had to overcome a good performance from Virginia Beach pitcher Joe Wiese to claim a 3-2 win at Bulldogs Park. Wiese went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Potatoes go to 59-94 with the win.

Lorenzo Carrion had a direct impact on the outcome. Carrion contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the seventh inning to put Idaho up, 3-2.
