The Las Vegas River Cats defeated the Charlotte Ironmen, 4-3, at Ironmen Stadium. Las Vegas catcher Mike Robinson had a superb performance. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Las Vegas reliever Juan Valdez snagged the win, upping his record to 5-7. Juan Hernandez shouldered the loss. Alex Alvarez picked up his 35th save of the season.

Robinson had a timely hit for Las Vegas in the top of the ninth. With Las Vegas trailing 3-2, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Las Vegas.

Robinson said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.

Las Vegas is in third place in the American League AL West with a record of 73-80.
