Ironmen Overwhelm River Cats, 14-6
|
With left fielder Tyreek Hicks leading the charge, the Charlotte Ironmen defeated the Las Vegas River Cats, 14-6, at Ironmen Stadium. Hicks, who finished 4th in the NL in extra base hits with 93 in 2018, went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. The River Cats, at 72-79, have lost 5 straight games.
Chris Perryman, who is tied for 9th in the AL in RBI with 94, came through for Charlotte with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the sixth. The shortstop went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 6 runs batted in.
