Bobcats Take Down Pirates, 5-4
Mountiesdome was the site of an exciting ballgame between the El Paso Bobcats and River City Pirates.

Getting a good performance from designated hitter J.R. Jensen, the El Paso Bobcats defeated the River City Pirates, 5-4. Jensen hit 2 home runs for the Bobcats. Brian Brockett picked up the win in relief. Danny Kelsey took the loss for River City. Matt Shelor was called on to finish, recording his 41st save.

Jensen had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch curveball from Danny Kelsey, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Bobcats a 5-4 lead. It was the 34th home run of the year for Jensen.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Jensen.

El Paso raised its record to 88-61 with the win.
