Stunnas Get Past Fresno for 2-1 Win
|
Fresno Grounds featured a tense pitchers' duel.
In a tight contest between the San Diego Stunnas and the Fresno Steelhawks, Mao Thian was the determining factor. The San Diego right-hander sparkled in his team's 2-1 win. Thian, now 10-11, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 run.
San Diego needed the clutch hitting of Justin DePaepe to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stunnas on top, 2-1. For the game, DePaepe had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
