Huntington Beach pitcher Edgar Ayala had a large part in his team beating the Charlotte Ironmen, 6-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Ayala yielded 2 runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 16-4. Jonathan Cortez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 27 of 30 save opportunities.
