Lúcio Vick had a strong outing for the Honolulu Tornado against the Huntington Beach Hecklers at Tornado Fields. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 8-3 win. Vick got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The Honolulu win streak is now 3 games.

Darryl Gridley had a big bases-clearing double for the Tornado in the bottom of the third inning. With Honolulu leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Adrian Delashaw, who is tied for 3rd in the NL in complete games with 1, and swatted a double to center. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tornado ahead, 6-2.
