The El Paso Bobcats defeated the Idaho Potatoes, 5-3, in American League action at Golden Grizzlies Field. El Paso pitcher Willie Interiano had a standout performance. Curt Castilleja was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 29 of 30 save opportunities. El Paso now has a 3-game win streak.

Carlos Castrejon, the 37-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Castrejon contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put El Paso up, 3-0.

In postgame comments to the El Paso Observer, Interiano said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
