The Long Beach Polecats did just enough to sneak past the Huntington Beach Hecklers, 4-3, at Polecats Park. Long Beach first baseman Chris Hill, in particular, had a standout performance. Andy Moto recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 22 for 25. The win puts Long Beach at 57-54 this season.

Hill had a timely hit for Long Beach in the bottom of the eighth. With Long Beach trailing 3-2, he turned a 0-1 curveball into a 2-run double. It was his 30th double of the season, making it 4-3, Long Beach.

Hill attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
