Bulldogs Suffer 6-1 Road Loss
The Idaho Potatoes knocked off the Virginia Beach Bulldogs, 6-1, in American League action at Golden Grizzlies Field. Idaho pitcher and Anderson, Indiana, native Kevin Thigpen had an outstanding performance. The winning pitcher was Thigpen, now 1-2. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 7. The Potatoes, now 3-8, have not found much traction so far in 2022.

Tony de Jesus hit a grand slam home run off Peter Curry in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Potatoes ahead, 5-1. In addition to the homer, de Jesus had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Thigpen.
