Mothmen Earn 5-2 Home Win

The Massachusetts Mothmen rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Carson McMillian to a win, beating the Phoenix Coal Miners, 5-2, at Rogers Centre. Massachusetts sits in last place in the National League NL East at 48-57.
The Mothmen got a big at-bat from designated hitter Matt Magee. For the game, Magee went 2 for 3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Massachusetts a 2-0 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Magee said.
