Starting pitcher Jim Toms pitched well enough to help the Las Vegas River Cats beat the Idaho Potatoes, 4-3. Las Vegas reliever Jeremy Salmons picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Ron Davis was tagged with the loss. Victor Garcia, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.

Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Lorenzo Labra to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the River Cats on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Toms.

The victory gives Las Vegas a record of 53-44.
