Bulldogs Earn 5-4 Home Win
|
Though he had a stellar game, Nate Blalock could not prevent his team, the Idaho Potatoes, from losing, 5-4, to the Virginia Beach Bulldogs. Blalock went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Eric Morning recorded the save, making him 18 for 20. The second-place Bulldogs have won 4 in a row.
Jose Cordero drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate against the Potatoes. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Virginia Beach in front, 5-4.
Cordero told a Virginia Beach Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
