Jets Rally Late to Nip Honu
Texas pinch hitter Danny Mejia was instrumental in helping the Jets triumph, 4-3, over the New Orleans Honu. Mejia went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Nate Mitchell in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Jon Simmons took the loss. Victor Espinosa was called on to finish, recording his 30th save.

Mejia had a timely hit for Texas in the top of the ninth. With Texas trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-1 cutter into a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 4-3, Texas.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Mejia told the Texas Chronicle. "Whatever it takes."

The triumph puts Texas at 45-33 for the season.
